I waited a few weeks before doing the review for obvious reasons. It's a great looking hat no question. I like to use 6x fur felts for work because they do look good. I mean not quite like a 50x or a pure beaver, still looks goon nonetheless. It's also not as much of a heart brake if a bull stomps it into the ground.
It's apart of the George Strait collection, so its got the signature printed on the sweat band. The print on the sweat band has begun to rub off. This is normal to happen with Resistol/Stetson's leather sweat bands. The higher grade Resistol/Stetson fur felts use a lamb skin sweat bands. The print seems to last longer on the lamb skin. The lamb skin us also softer and more comfortable. This is something that matter very little for me.
The size was bang on of course. I'm not a stranger to Resistol/Stetson hats, so I knew it'd be accurate. I purposely ordered this one a size smaller then I normally would. I usually do that with hats I use for work. It's to help the hat stay on my head while breaking in horses.
The only thing about this hat I don't like is the hat band. It's very cheap and tacky. It's to be expected on a 6x and doesn't reflect the quality of the hat itself. Again it matters little for me. I'll just change it for something with a better quality buckle anyway. Overall great hat. A big thank you to Lammle's. I've already got my sights set on a couple other hat. Looking forward to doing business again.
