Behind the Scenes of Our "Hit The Books in Western Looks" Photoshoot
Our latest Back to School campaign, Hit The Books in Western Looks, was a true celebration of Western heritage and style, and we couldn't be more excited to share the behind-the-scenes story with you. This photoshoot was a collaborative effort that brought together some amazing local talent, a picturesque ranch setting, and a whole lot of Western spirit! Read on to learn more.
The Stars of the Shoot
One of the most special aspects of this photoshoot was the decision to feature local country kids who are as comfortable in the saddle as they are in the classroom. (We think some might rather be in the saddle than in the classroom, but don’t tell their teachers!) These young riders brought an authentic energy to the shoot, showcasing how Western wear isn't just a style—it's a way of life. The kids were incredible to work with, full of enthusiasm and joy, making the entire experience even more memorable. Throw in a couple of barn kittens and you’ve got an adorable scene!

We had the pleasure of teaming up with Jenn Webster of Western Horse Review magazine, whose passion for Western culture is unparalleled. Jenn's expertise and vision were instrumental in bringing the concept to life, and her involvement added an authentic touch that perfectly aligns with Lammle’s dedication to the western lifestyle. Thank you for your genuine dedication to making this authentic, Jenn!

The Location
Our shoot took place at the beautiful ranch of Clay Webster Performance Horses, located near Mossleigh, Alberta. The ranch provided the perfect backdrop with its wide-open spaces, fields filled with horses, and long views of the prairie. The morning light at 8AM added a warm glow to the scenes, setting the stage for what would be an unforgettable day.
The Photography
Tara McKenzie, the talented photographer for this particular shoot, captured the essence of the campaign with her keen eye for detail and creativity. Tara's ability to tell a story through her lens is unmatched, and she didn't disappoint. From the candid moments of laughter to the powerful shots of kids on horseback, every image she took only fueled our enthusiasm further. We also got some wonderful drone footage that adds a dynamic perspective to the shoot, showcasing the beauty of the ranch and the excitement of the day. See Tara’s reel of that day here.
